Ramiro Iturrioz

Ramiro Iturrioz is an agriculture insurance and reinsurance specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry and international development institutions.

Ramiro has worked for over 20 years as an agriculture underwriter and risk modeler for first tier reinsurance companies. He has also worked as a Senior Insurance Specialist at the World Bank on the development and implementation of agriculture insurance programs in low- and middle-income countries. Since 2017, he has been working as an agriculture risk management and insurance consultant for international development institutions such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and others. He is the author of various publications and articles on agriculture risk management. Ramiro holds a Master’s degree in Agribusiness and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics.
