Felix has more than 10 years of experience in designing and implementing agricultural insurance, disaster risk financing, and shock-responsive social protection programs. Former employers include the World Bank and the African Risk Capacity.
As a former Disaster Risk Financing Specialist at the World Bank and Policy Officer at the African Risk Capacity, Felix has advised low- and middle-income country governments on the use of insurance and other risk financing instrumens for protecting themselves against the financial impact of natural disasters. His work includes the design of sovereign risk financing and insurance solutions, as well as of shock-responsive social protection programs. Felix also used to be a Foreign Service Officer in the German diplomatic corps. He holds Master’s degrees in Economics and Law.
