Dario Bacchini is an actuary and risk finance specialist with more than 15 years of experience in research, risk modelling, and the design of risk financing solutions in agriculture.
Dario has worked extensively as a technical consultant with development institutions such as the World Bank and the World Food Program, where he supported the design, rating, implementation and monitoring of agricultural index insurance programs in low- and middle-income countries. Formerly, he worked as a market risk leader in a private bank and as a manager of the risk department in the Buenos Aires Futures Exchange (MATBA). For more than 15 years, he has also been teaching different subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students at Buenos Aires University and Sand Andres University. He is also a researcher in Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics and Management of Buenos Aires University. He holds a Master’s degree in finance.
